Eric's Drop to Phone
Drop photos, videos, PDFs, and other files on a Windows PC and open them on an iPhone or Android phone on the same Wi-Fi. Several at once. No cloud.
What people on production will see
You are on the development website. It has this extra banner, developer docs, Xcode / TestFlight notes, Architecture, and GitHub. The Windows zip here is the latest dev build, not a numbered release.
Production visitors get a short public page only: download the PC app, how it works, and the privacy policy. No Xcode, TestFlight, Architecture, or GitHub.
Download the Windows desktop app
This is the PC app you run on Windows. Unzip it and double-click DropToPhone.exe. It is not the iPhone app.
iPhone app (developers)
Scan the QR from the Windows app once, or connect when the iPhone finds the PC on Wi-Fi. Later drops arrive automatically — photos to Photos, PDFs and documents to Files. Sideload from Xcode, or TestFlight when that build is enabled. Setup and TestFlight notes are in Docs below.
Android app (developers)
Same LAN URLs as iPhone. Gradle project in src/DropToPhone.Android. Sideload the debug APK while Play Console identity review is pending. Play listing notes are in Docs below.
How it works
- Run the Windows desktop app on the same Wi-Fi as the phone.
- Drop one file or several — photos, video, PDF, or other documents.
- Scan the QR once on the iPhone, or connect when the PC appears on Wi-Fi.
- Photos go to Photos. PDFs and other files go to Files. Later drops do not need a new scan.
