Support — Eric's Drop to Phone

Eric's Drop to Phone moves photos, videos, PDFs, and other files from a Windows PC to an iPhone or Android phone on the same Wi-Fi. Several files can go in one drop. There is no cloud account.

What you need

  1. The Windows app (free): Download
  2. The iPhone app from the App Store (paid), the Android app from Google Play (paid), or Safari/Chrome if you only want to open the QR
  3. Phone and PC on the same Wi-Fi (not a guest network that isolates devices)

How it works

  1. Run the Windows app. Drop one file or several (photos, video, PDF, documents).
  2. On the phone, scan the QR once — or tap Connect when the PC appears on Wi-Fi.
  3. Save. Photos and video go to Photos; PDFs and other files go to Files. Later drops appear without scanning again. If the PC’s address changes, the phone finds it on Wi-Fi.
  4. Large videos show a progress bar on the PC and on the phone so the transfer does not look frozen.

This is not AirDrop and not Bluetooth file send.

If the phone cannot load the file

Privacy
